love this book, but then I also love Africa so I am probably
biased. That said the book has lots of colour paintings, initial
sketches by the side and a write-up of the scene etc. Don't
expect lots of cute cub paintings, Hanlon loves to paint Africa
as it is sometimes cruel but always exciting. |

is the book everyone has been waiting for. All in all it's
very good, lots of subjects not normally covered in a book
like this are looked at here, like Atmosphere, Composition,
Field work etc. The section on painting fur is however a little
disappointing, with the details required not really covered
