Stopping pastels smudging - my secret technique

Preventing pastels from smudging can be a real problem, especially the blacks as they can easily contaminate the other areas and then be very difficult or even impossible to remove - this is how I have been able to prevent that happening in my drawings, so I can apply my soft pastels and pastel pencils over the top of the black without it smudging - hope it helps -
